The CMM Supervisor/Senior Engineer is responsible for the overall CMM Section including incoming, in-process & outgoing tests and inspection activities, maintenance and calibration of gauges, measuring and test equipments, providing ISIR package(Initial Samples Inspection Report).

Duties & Responsibilities:

Supervise QC inspection processes.

Conduct training for CMM Engineer/Technician.

Initiative & formulate corrective / preventive action with relevant departments and verify the effectiveness.

Evaluate and dispose in-process reject products.

Implement Statistical Process Control (SPC) system, monitor and improve the process capability with production department.

Assist QA Engineer in the qualification of new products (e.g. mold testing) and new process.

Review customer drawings / specifications, manufacturing instruction, test result and other associated production / development planning for determining and establishing required quality requirements and measurement system capability.

Plan and Review Measurement System Analysis (MSA) results.

Plan & Review Process Capability Study (CP/Cpk) results.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Direct and supervise the overall activities of the quality department to ensure product quality.

Ensure that Policy Deployment Process is conducted at all levels in the department, including quality related policies and guidelines across all levels in the Plant.

Develop business plans, objectives and strategies of the department to ensure the achievement of objectives..

Take the lead in the implementation of an effective quality system through the quality system, process and product audits and management review of plant’s performance against objectives.

Act as the Customer Representative to ensure that customer requirements are addressed. This includes selection of special characteristics, setting quality objectives and related training, corrective and preventive actions, product design and development.

Responsible in promptly advising the General Manager with responsibility and authority for corrective action regarding products or processes which do not conform to the customer requirements.

Manage product quality through proper evaluation of component and product design specifications, providing support in cross functional teams to develop Failure Mode and Effect Analysis, control plans, and evaluation of product defects.

Develop and implement incoming, in-process and outgoing inspection processes to assure product quality.

Diagnose and investigate customer quality issues and implement corrective and preventive actions.

Direct maximum and proper use of resources including materials and manpower.

Plan and prepare annual budget.

Develop procedures for the incoming and outgoing inspection, train technicians on the process and proper use of equipment.

Motivate team towards achieving safe, healthy and hazard-free environment at the workplace.

Lead the team to accomplish targets through proper training, mentoring, coaching and counseling.

Perform process validation testing on new products and process changes as requested by Manufacturing Department.

Support in providing work instructions for inspection/measurement processes.

Provide CMM programs for measurement requests by Quality Engineer and/or Manufacturing Department.

Maintain records of quality inspection / measurement processes.

Perform quality inspection (pre-delivery inspection & incoming inspection) as specified in the control plan and release inspection reports.

Perform and release inspection report on specific audit tests for assembly parts/products as specified in the control plan as requested by Manufacturing.

Maintain limit samples.

Perform GR&R tests as requested by Quality Engineer

Assist quality teams with the use of quality tools (SPC, 8D, etc.)

Provide suggestions for continuous improvement of quality inspection processes.

Maintain system level TS16949 Documents (manuals, procedures and other documents).

Coordinate with specific areas/function document controller regarding revision, identification, storage, indexing, filing and maintenance of documents and records.

Perform periodic document and records check/audit in each area to effectively implement document and data control.

Act as the team leader in the absence of the quality engineer. Other duties assigned by management.
