Objective: To design an automated station for an automobile assembly line to replace the manual labor currently required, which station will enable to test the function & safety of manual and power seats
• Conceptualized prototype and researched industry standards (DFMEA, House of Quality & Morph Chart)
• Modeled the test station using UGNX
• Created CAD drawings with GD&T controlled measurements
• Used HyperMesh and OptiStruct, to perform stiffness and displacement Finite Element Analysis (FEA)
• Attended Weekly phone meeting with Magna’s engineers to provide progress updates
• Wrote a technical report detailing project planning, design, budget and feasibility
