Completed and production released the technical data package for SRNC (Semi-Rugged Notebook Computer. MAJOR ACCOMPLISHMENTS:
Designed and supported the Super “C”, a dual PCMCIA slot expansion assembly with an embedded Li-Ion battery and integrated GPS. The Super “C” is the company’s first universal expansion back assembly used on multiple military projects. A rugged removable Li-Ion battery package that is compliant to the MIL-STD-810F or IP68 standard. Designed and supported an expansion back assembly using the guts of an Iridium satellite phone combined with the rugged removable battery package. Designed and supported a special retractable antenna used in conjunction with the Iridium expansion back assembly. Co-engineered and supported production of the next generation RPDA (hand-held computer). Designed and worked with canvas vendor for canvas back-pack for Mobile Modular Command and Control (M2C2) Staff Kits.

TALLA-TECH; Company specializes in rugged repackaging of PDAs for military customers. Company is a subsidiary of TALLA-COM and TADIRAN COMMUNICATIONS. Contract primarily consisted of mechanical engineer support, which included but not limited to industrial design of products using SolidWorks, creation of 2D drawings with and without BOMs and consultation on best DFM and DFA methods for existing and new products.
DAVIS TECHNOLGY; Company specializes in patent pending truck and automotive suspension systems. Contract primarily consisted of CAD support for two “short term” military projects for the company. Support included not only 3D model generation of concepts but also creation of animations using these model files.
VERTEX RSI; Company is known for the world leader in radar and satellite communication antennas both base station, shipboard and man portable/mobile products. Contract primarily consisted of compiling documents from multiple sources generating 2D assembly drawings and creating BOMs for such drawings.

Mechanical lead in development team developing varies products from the concept phase to the initial production phase.
MAJOR ACCOMPLISHMENTS:
Acquired first US patent ever for non-metallic (plastic) self-tapping screw. Sole mechanical project engineer in development teams for the Pocket Spider, Pocket Spider IIc and Wireless Portfolio programs. The Pocket Spider was the first patented wireless modem designed for use in ANY compact flash device. The Pocket Spider IIc was the next generation wireless modem again using the compact flash slot but redesigned for look and appeal. The Wireless Portfolio was an integrated modem placed into a leather binder. Developed slim low cost Nitinol based antenna for use with PC Card Modem. Created hybrid sheet metal and injection molded housings to reduce overall packaging size.
