Round with Attending Pain Anesthesiologist daily on all pain patients; consulting with Attending Anesthesiologist throughout day.
Assist Attending Anesthesiologist with all blocks in the OR or in Holding unit prior to surgery, then the patients follow up in recovery.
Assist Attending Anesthesiologist in recovery room on all patients added to pain service or those that are having pain issues to get pain controlled before transferred out of recovery.
Responsible for preparing pain management plan, reviewed and approved by Attending Anesthesiologist and then responsible to see plan through.
Assist Anesthesiologist in Chronic Out-Patient Pain Clinic twice weekly, follow up of those patients and available for teaching parents and children about their pain pumps, medications and other treatments.
Required to accompany all heart patients (direct admits to PICU) with the Attending Anesthesiologist and stay until pain control and VS stable; as well as all Spinal fusions, Pectus repairs, any transplant patient and all cancer surgery related patients.
