Procured outside vendor services for plating, anodizing, and painting for components used to manufacture electronic products. Purchased materials to include epoxy, resins, specialty epoxy, plastic for injection molding, tubing, sheet metal, and electronic commodities such as enclosures and fittings. Drove contract decisions using MRP and customer demands.

Accomplishments:

Instrumental in introducing the Just In Time (JIT) call system within SAP to reduce inventory costs by allowing manufacturing floor to determine its exact needs and due dates.

Set up numerous supplier-held inventory programs to reduce costs.

Built supplier relationships and set up vendor-held inventory to create stock turns of approximately 26 per year.

Negotiated with suppliers to secure $23K in 2011 and $198K in 2010 of deflation during an especially turbulent and inflation -prone time.

Spearheaded a transition to a new SAP MRP system while educating all subordinates on the new system.

Coordinated transducer facility move into new consolidated building with all manufacturing, engineering and accounting functions located under one roof. Moved mold machines, electronic calibration equipment and personal workstations and re-installed within schedule and no customer reschedules.

Instrumental in obtaining ISO certification by maintaining MPIs and all documents and drawings current in full compliance with ISO requirements to improve the company’s competitive edge. (Manufacturing Engineer - 1992)
