Personal Statement

As a graduate of the University of South Carolina and the University of Detroit Mercy with an undergrad degree in Psychology, (Child & Adolescent Development) and a graduate degree in Education Administration, I have amassed an enormous amount of experience in the urban education sector. Primarily in the city of Detroit. As a highly-motivated and results oriented Manager in the education field, I have a proven track record of providing exemplary levels of service to a broad range of Student populations/environments, including special needs and juvenile offenders. While serving as an instructor, Associate instructor and group home supervisor, and in some instances while employed with Aurora Psychiatric hospital. My duties included but not limited to the creation and implementation of comprehensive individual student behavior support Plans. The behavior modification support plans were a comprehensive strategy to improve the quality of life for the students and their parents. The successful implementation of the identified behavior and support strategies were partly due to parental and stakeholder involvement. Presently, I assist in the management, supervision and lesson planning schedule of eight highly emotional and sometimes volatile impaired students of various grade levels and cognitive abilities. I am looking to secure a position in the education sector where I can bring immediate and strategic value and further exercise current skillset. Employment History:
