M.E. Project: Multilevel converter for traction application using PID controller. Description
A bulky, heavy transformer in the input section of line side power conversion for traction was replaced with medium frequency transformer with multilevel topology. This converter structure seems particularly well adapted to different entities such as volume, weight, EMC and losses. One of the main advantages is the possibility of implementing the soft switching commutation of both converters, thus reducing the overall switching losses. The total harmonic distortion value was around 4%, the efficiency of the converter increased. B.E Project: Implementation of single phase matrix converter as a direct AC-AC synthesized using SPWM with passive load conditions.
Description:
Reduction of the ripple contents in the output voltage and output current for high frequency applications.
SKILLS:
CADENCE OrCAD PCB Editor with Pspice.
Microsoft Windows 7.0.
