I currently am employed as a Receptionist and Assistant to the Administrative Director of this Sleep Center. I greet our patients, process their insurance co-pays, schedule appointments, and answering phones which are heavy in nature. I assist the Director in whatever is required, I order and maintain supplies for 6 clinic sites in the Bay Area. Work with the physicians to provide great customer service and maintain strict patient confidentiality. I respond to medical record requests in a timely fashion.

Am comfortable with Word, Lotus Notes, Internet searches, Athena medical scheduling, ResMed and Respironics software for compliance data.

Worked in the Medical Staff Office, I was responsible for obtaining the documentation for physician proctoring for all new provisional staff members. This included obtaining quarterly evaluations for each physician and documented proof that proctoring was completed. This was time sensitive work because without completion of proctoring, physician privileges would be lost. I had considerable interaction with the physicians and department chairs. I used a spreadsheet to track proctoring progress. This was a temporary position.

As the Intake Coordinator in the Respiratory Services area, my responsibilities included intake of orders for oxygen, oximetry patients and sleep apnea patients. I was responsible for insurance verifications and obtaining authorizations for services. I scheduled patient appointments for three respiratory therapists and one registered nurse. I possessed a patient-centered attitude while helping patients in our office and on the phone. There was a heavy phone workload which was a priority towards great customer service. I used Excel spreadsheet to track patient orders and re-orders.
