Experience with the following manufacturing processes; O.D. grinding, boring machines, gun drilling, induction hardening, shaft straightening, screw machines, transfer machine, high speed tube mill, heavy hydraulic presses and high volume high speed assembly lines.

Maintained and calibrated machine signal conditioners such as force control, flow control, linear measurement, and pressure. The signal conditioners were Daytronic and Analog Devices. Programming and integration experience with Allen Bradley products such as Control Logix, Kinetix, Ultra, and Sercos servo systems.

Upgraded several Allen Bradley PLC5 controller machines to current Allen Bradley Control Logix platforms. Also programmed Allen Bradley Panelview HMI’s. Managed and coordinated plant improvements, preventative maintenance projects with production support during the plant summer/winter shutdowns.

ACCOMPLISHMENTS:

Team member- Steering Gear Leak Quality Issue; lasers added to detect metal chips on torsion bars ahead of valve assembly. Nominated for company quality award. Elimination of top warranty/quality issue. Cost savings approximately 30k/year.

Supervisor of the plant machinery rehab dept. (16 month assignment) Responsible for the supervision of 30 skilled trades consisting of UAW electricians, machine repairman, millwrights, pipe fitter, and welder. The department refurbished machinery such as grinders, lathes, and screw machines.
