Dartmouth College’s Earth Sciences Spring Break Field Trip March 2012 Explored Central Italy with the Observatorio Geologico di Coldigioco for an introduction to the tectonics of the Apennines, volcanism around Mt. Vesuvius and Herculem, and the K-Pg boundary located in Gubbio

Dartmouth College’s Earth Sciences Foreign Study Field Program Sept. 2011–Nov. 2011 Performed various geological surveys across of Western North America in Canada and the United States. Studies included: glaciological mapping in the Canadian Rockies; gold prospecting and mining issues in Wyoming and Montana; environmental geochemical analysis of streams and soils in various Western U.S. National Parks; several 3-to-4-day geologic team mapping exercises in Wyoming (Sheep Mountain & Goose-Egg) and California (Poleta Folds); assessment of sediment cores and geobiology in Mono Lake, California; a geophysical and geomagnetic examination of Death Valley; and, a culminating experience in Arizona’s Grand Canyon
