Next Athleisure Pty Ltd (March 2017 – Current) System Accountant - 1 month contract

Next Athleisure operates in the youth apparel industry in Australia through its leading street wear multi brand retail outlets.

Key Responsibilities

In coordination with Finance Head of the Company, leading implementation of Microsoft Navision.

Providing staff training on different module of the ERP; i.e Accounts Payable, Accountants Receivable, Fixed Assets, General Ledger and Reporting.

Working with Finance team to tailor the ERP functionality to the Management needs.

Etisalat Facilities Management (November 2015 - January 2017) Financial Analyst

Largest Group in UAE and one the biggest in the GCC region. Was working in Facilities Management division, which provided MEP, Security, Energy Management and Soft Services.

Key Responsibilities

FP&A, portfolio review, month end (P&L, B/S, Cash flow review), process audit & compliance.

Analysis: Ratios, Variance, Aging, Responsibility Accounting.

Investment appraisal at initial approval stages of a project, and being part of related tendering activities.

Preparation of Financial and Management reports.

Business Partnering with stakeholders; including management, operations and marketing staff.

Member of Credit Control Committee, responsible for collection for all Group Business Units.

Significant Achievements:

Implementing mechanism for identification and separate analysis of additional (non contractual) works. This linked the additional costs to inflow of additional revenue, hence ensuring compliance with IFRS 'Matching Concept' and providing management with more relevant information for decision making.

Setting up Standard Operating Procedures and a fully functional system of Responsibility Report for all the business processes. This resulted in increased efficiency and sound system of internal controls, with strong checks over budgeted targets/ other costs.

One the Big 4 audit firms at global level; worked at the Audit & Assurance Department. During my tenure there I served at levels from Junior to Assistant Manager.
