Vice President, National Accounts, 2006 – 2016

Managed Assurant’s National Accounts team which delivered on the growth and retention targets of the company’s large account commercial and public sector dental business, with a focus on managed dental care and voluntary benefits plans and services

Served as the company’s primary contact for creating and maintaining successful relationships with national consulting firms and TPA’s nationwide

Led finalist presentations and executed plan implementations, reported to company president

Led the sales efforts on over $7 million of new business, including the largest public school system in Dallas, TX, the second largest county government organization in TN, and the largest healthcare system in south FL.

Managed the retention of all existing accounts, retaining 100% of the assigned national account block of business.

Humana

Regional Marketing Director, 2005-2006

Managed and developed sales in the Southeast region for Humana Specialty plans and services, including dental, life and disability benefits distributed in the mid-size market

Developed new business with large firms including AmSouth Bank (Regions), State of South Carolina, Shelby County (Memphis), Promina Healthcare, and Russell Athletics

Created system of direct business-to-business marketing to employers

Served as the managing contact for Assurant to leading national consulting firms
