Production Control Warehouse/Shipping Manager
Schedule multiple production lines with production volumes over 2 billion per annum, producing several disparate product variations with hundreds of packing designs to meet customer demand. Each of the production lines produce hundreds of SKU’s for multiple customers, including several locations for the world’s largest brewer.
Entrusted to directly access customer’s on-line SAP forecast and scheduling database to maintain inventory for multiple size variations across hundreds of labels, for multiple locations. Also, utilized customer proprietary planning database for long range forecasting
of sales.
Manage a staff of 20 team members in the warehouse/shipping department including
Team Leads, clerks, forklift drivers and warehousemen; both staff and contingent/contractors.
Conducted daily plant-wide production meetings to outline production goals and that day’s run order for the teams.
Primary contact for forecasting, delivery schedules, releases and purchase orders as well as complaints involving late or inaccurate shipments Track and report production and sales numbers for the plant daily, monthly and annually.
Develop Master Schedule requirements from demand forecast, plant capacity, and historical data
Manage volume and manufacturing location changes between factories as needed to meet customer requirements
Monitor inventories of raw material, work in process, and finished good in an effort to minimize costs and achieve inventory goals.
Maintain accurate ‘needs attention and obsolete inventory and implement measures for improvement.
Oversee development and maintenance of tools that enhance production planning capability
Six Sigma Black Belt leading cross-functional process improvement and corrective action teams to increase efficiency; reduce labor or cost, and optimization/standardization.
