Industrial Pump Product Line
Generated revenue by fulfilling customer demand from completed production orders. Made necessary decisions concerning inventory requirements, staffing requirements, and work procedures. Monitored production to reduce cost and optimize output.
Instituted 2 different multimillion dollar product lines by working directly with upper management and engineering. This Included product design, infrastructure, offshore sourcing, logistics and ERP setup.
Developed multimillion dollar annual operating budget for expenditures on supplies, materials, and personnel to ensure available labor and assets to meet production goals.
Redesigned production floor layout and flow to maximize output and efficiency while minimizing or eliminating exposure risk for worker-related concerns.
Facilitate physical inventory or cycle count programs including approving reconciliations, shrinkage, and monitoring replenishment needs. Maintained 98% plus inventory accuracy level.
Hire, train, evaluate, and discipline staff including promotions, resolving personnel grievances, and as necessary, terminations. Implement company-mandated employee improvement/involvement programs.
oUsing the 4 Disciplines of Execution, the active days to complete transactions, move inventory, and conclude work orders was reduced from a 30-day average to less than 7 for most processes.

When the company ERP system (J.D. Edwards) came online in 2002, I trained for 2 weeks on all modules that related to our business process. I then disseminated that to all involved associates. When the implementation was complete (Go-Live), our staff made a seamless transition. I remained our facility trainer to new employees for many years afterwards.
Managed all other facility processes including safety, customer service, administrative, quality, logistics, and inventory control.

Directly managed all product line inventory movement for inbound, stocking, logistics, work order fulfillment, and outbound operations. for a $35-million-dollar (plus) inventory of finished goods, raw material, and WIP.
Oversee and participate in Customer Service and provide customer support including quote preparation, purchase order acceptance, product information, and order update/expedite.
Key member of the management committee that created, updated, and documented all facility procedures, training, training records, and processes. These efforts were directly responsible for our plant receiving not 1, but 2 different coveted industry licenses. We were award an API Q1 certification for our Quality Management System being in strict compliance of all required guidelines. Also, our manufacturing group received an API 7K monogram certificate for its unique Mud Pump design and strict adherence of manufacturing protocol.

oReintroduced the 4 Disciplines of Execution at the new facility. Using these techniques we identified a nearly 30% error rate in shipping. We reduced that number to less than 5% within 2 months.
oWe implemented a peer-review system that virtually eliminated costly mistakes by spotlighting inventory inaccuracies.
oWe implemented a bin location “spot-check” process that helped drive and maintain cycle count accuracy above 98%.
Redesigned warehouse layout to accommodate sheltered receiving, RF Scan gun implementation, improved quality inspection process, created physical locations for inbound inventory, improved equipment flow, installed physical barriers, and made outbound shipping more identifiable. This reduced employee hazard exposure and virtually eliminated injuries.
Completed training of the massive version 9.1 upgrade to our company ERP system (J.D. Edwards) and made another seamless transition.
Key member of the safety leadership committee. Participation included weekly GEMBA walks, monthly safety meetings, hazard hunts, and weekly/daily tool box safety talks. At plant closure, we had been over 400 days without a recordable incident.
