The Mighty Cob Toronto, Ontario
Crew Leader May2016-September 2016
The Mighty Cob is a busy corporate events caterer and a mobile retail-booth operator. I started as a staff member and within the first three weeks got promoted to a crew leader. Responsibilities entailed launching retail booths, serving & attracting customers, training crew members, and handling cash. Our team outperformed all teams and was the owner’s favorite. Maintaining a high level of operational efficiency in this ever-demanding and high volume retail environment was a critical factor for my success as a crew leader, a fact that propelled me to relentlessly motivate crew members, jointly absorb failures, and maintain a viral positive attitude. CultureLink & Tight-Knit Syria Toronto, Ontario
Volunteer March 2016-Present
In the light of the chronic Syrian turmoil, Tight-Knit Syria took an innovative approach in financially aiding Syrian refugees outside of Canada. We provide refugees with basic knitting material and equipment allowing them to produce knit products which we ultimately sell on their behalf via our online store. I am actively involved in new idea generation discussions and event coordination.
As for CultureLink, we provide a wide range of settlement services to facilitate the integration of newcomers into the Canadian society. I assist Syrian newcomers in translating presentations and application forms. DU Emirates Integrated Telecommunications Company Abu Dhabi, UAE Customer Service Representative June 2011-June 2012 Du is one the two major Telecom companies in the UAE. Post an intensive tele-sales training program in their Dubai headquarters, I engaged in numerous successful customer service mandates.
