Summary/Overview: Technical writer by degree, SharePoint administrator by default.
Apr 2016 – Present – Technical Writer – Oasis Systems - Hanscom AFB, Massachusetts
Editing and managing Federal acquisition documentation through the update and review process. Secondary duties include cleaning up file structures, aligning permissions to current guidance, and streamlining libraries in preparation for their upgrade from SharePoint 2007 to 2013. While reorganizing this structure, process issues were discovered and fixed which identified and mitigated some risks. The final structure gave all team members and leadership customized dashboards to help them track documentation tasks such as Contract Data Requirement Lists and deliverables.
Working with acquisition teams comprised of engineers, logisticians, information security, and cyber security to create and update system documents such as: System Engineering Plans, Technical Requirements Documents, and Risk Management Plans among many others.
My part in this process includes ensuring the current ADDM template is used, current DoD instructions are followed, and that content includes required elements. I also edit to ensure writing styles meet current standards as set forth by the Tongue and Quill.
Oct 2015 – Apr 2016 - Technical Writer - IPT Associates - Council for Logistics Research CLR
Subcontracted to create documentation deliverables around the development of the Acquisition WorkBench (AcqWB) tool used by DISA and USAF acquisition personnel. During the documentation process, I also created the necessary templates, processes, and version control elements in accordance with the AcqWB and DISA requirements. Deliverables included Software Test Descriptions, Requirements and Design Documents, a Requirements Traceability Matrix, Services Catalog, Software Programmers Guide, Installation Guide, Software Installation Plan, Software Version Description, and Software Test Report. Working with the engineering, release management, test teams, business analysts, and management, we were able to produce a complete and cohesive set of deliverables in a short amount of time. Between deliverables, I created an internal SharePoint 2013 site to help the team locate and share documents. This site contained a shared library with site pages to give members a view of documentation according to either the team view or a capability view.
