Project Engineer. Provides consulting expertise in the energy and environmental fields, focusing on technical analysis for energy and resource conservation, energy technology assessment, implementation of renewable energy systems, development and application of energy modeling and simulation methodologies, feasibility assessment of energy efficiency opportunities in commercial and industrial (C&I) facilities, and conservation technology implementation support for C&I facilities.

Lockheed Martin, Santa Clara, CA, 2001–2007

Senior Staff Engineer. Performed large C&I energy audits for energy efficiency. Managed rebate and incentive programs for Silicon Valley Power (SVP). Assisted SVP customers in project management of energy efficient retrofits to buildings. Performed metering and verification of projects for performance contracting to determine power consumption and power quality. Provided review and design assistance for new construction projects to determine Title 24 compliance in lighting and mechanical design for new construction rebates.

Quadrant Technology Corp., Sunnyvale, CA, 1997–2000

Machinist. Interpreted technical prints and developed production strategy for the prototype and mass production of magnets and magnetic assemblies. Installed and laid out rotating stock of three-phase rotary and surface grinders. Controlled operation and shutdown of equipment for maintenance and safety.

Major Projects and Efforts

California Public Utilities Commission Impact Evaluation – Performed M&V tasks and energy savings analysis on investor-owned utility-operated energy efficiency programs in California.

Municipal Utility Impact Evaluations – Performed M&V tasks and energy savings analysis for municipal utility-operated energy efficiency programs throughout California.

Large C&I Customers – Performed energy-efficiency audits that resulted in the redesign of central cooling plants from air- to water-cooled chillers, the installation of cool roofs, and the implementation of effective lighting retrofit policies, among other measures.

Silicon Valley Power – Managed Customer-Directed Rebate and Innovative Technology Incentive programs, approving projects and measurement and verification strategies and selecting and qualifying projects that used groundbreaking energy efficiency technology.
