PROJECT RESPONSABILITIES:

Checking Wet bulb, Dry bulb, Air & Steel (Substrate) Temperatures – Relative

Humidity, Dew point temperatures at regular intervals to prepare Daily weather & ambient conditions Reports while the blasting & coating works are going on.

Selection & approval of abrasives, reusability for garnets by checking its contamination level is within the turbid level by conducting viol tests.

Visual inspection for surface cleanness prior to start blasting works,

Suggesting and monitoring the surface cleaning works while required,

Checking the anchor profile with press o film & type of finish with surface profile comparator after blasting,

Verifying the painting specification for the selection of paints to be applied, keeping records of Batch Numbers, Exp Date, Mixing ratio, Thinning ratio, MSDS details and manufacturer’s QC Certificates for the paint products used.

Checking quality of compressed air (if necessary), flow pressure, tip size of spray guns to achieve the fine atomization of paint flow,

Checking the wet film thickness while spraying,

Monitoring the drying time intervals for the coatings applied,

Checking Dry film thickness after drying,

Inspection of surface cleanness, touch dry, hard dry, hardness of previously applied primers and intermediates to ensure the recoating intervals while top coating,

Checking the final DFT readings of the entire coating systems and data entry for preparing final inspection reports,

Holiday testing for immersion service coatings, internal linings of tanks and vessels, using pinhole detectors,

Conducting adhesion tests for the sample panels using X-cut, cross hatch, and dolly pull off adhesion tester and preparing test reports upon request of the clients,

Conducting quantitative & qualitative tests for finding out the presences of salts like chlorides, sulfides, and nitrates etc., on the surfaces to be coated with appropriate test kids etc.,

Inspection on civil coating for Sump pits, Manholes, Ditches, Structural foundations, Equipment foundations etc.

Inspection of hot insulation and cold insulation on pipes, equipments, vessels according to PIP, ASTM standards.
