Left Dresdner due to downsizing and was offered job by Sterling National Bank.
The position at Sterlng was a newly created position involving the preparation of loan documentation on a system they had just purchased Medici.
I was in the legal department working with an attorney preparing loan documents for C&I and Factoring Loans.
The attorney I was working with was not happy with her position and was planning to leave.
At the same time as this was going to happen HSBC had approached me after seeing my resume on Monster.
I took the job at HSBC and it was not a good fit. I was hired to bring my experience to the bank and change some of the procedures. My manager resented that and it was a mutual decision to part ways.
I was hired on at BNParibas when they were located in Midtown Manhattan.
Soon after working there it was announced they would be moving to Jersey City.
I did the commute for a while but it was too long of a commute and at different periods when we would be working late would not get home until 11:00 or 12:00 at night.
I resigned and started temping until I found Fairway Capital which was a private real estate investment firm which purchased distressed assets all of the United States.
I was there until the partnership broke up and was offered to go to Atlanta with the one partner but chose not to.
The company then basically went out of business and I was laid off.
I went to Hanover Community Bank and was in charge of Loan Servicing/Administration.
The banks primary loans were real estate, there I worked on closings with the attorneys, pre-closing and post-closing review of documents and then the loan servicing portion.
Super storm Sandy hit and my home was destroyed and also there was a change in management when I decided to leave and not go back to work until my home was in order.
