Academic Projects
Automation of a sprinkler controller system using Raspberry PI & Wireless sensors: o Designed and Implemented an Automated Sprinkler Controller system using Raspberry Pi and wireless sensors o The Goal of this project was to automate the sprinkler controlling system by collecting data from Temperature & Humidity Sensors(DHT22) and Soil Moisture Sensor
o The data was collected from these sensors by interfacing the sensors assembled on a breadboard and by interfacing the GPIO pins of the Raspberry Pi with them using automated Python Scripts which monitored and collected Real Time data from these sensors
o The collected real time data is then stored it in a log file which was uploaded to a cloud called BOX.com and this real time data was used to run a motor
Physical layer simulation of a LTE-OFDM System:
o MATLAB simulation was performed to implement a LTE system with OFDM technique for transmission of packets o Simulation was performed for QPSK and 16 QAM modulation techniques o Tasks included setting up correct OFDM parameters and performing IFFT on transmitter side,FFT on receiver side,Cyclic Prefix insertion during transmission and removal during reception,Serial to Parallel/Parallel to Serial conversion and finally BER calculation leading to display of results using BER plot OPEN IMS (IP multimedia subsystems):
o Configured an Open IMS core network consisting of Call Session Control Functions (P-CSCF, I-CSCF, S- CSCF) and database HSS on Ubuntu
o Designed a DNS Server to locate P-CSCF, I-CSCF, S-CSCF and HSS o Used NAPTR, SRV and A records to differentiate and locate control functions and database o Tested the IMS network by setting up a Call flow between SIPP clients and sent RTP traffic over the call and used Wireshark tool to test SIP signaling and RTP media traffic Network design and Implementation:
o Created and simulated local/wide area network for a corporate enterprise on Packet Tracer o Assigned IP addresses to workstations, servers and router interfaces using VLSM o Achieved a full network connectivity by implementing routing protocols like RIP and OSPF o Implemented ACL for providing inter-office security, VLAN's for providing intra-office security
