Description

This project deals with design and development of Linear Asset Management solution in eAM. Linear Assets are the assets which are spanned across geographies. E.g.: Roads, Railways, Pipe networks etc. For each linear asset, system captures the segments, properties, elements and relationships with other linear assets (Parallel, intersecting etc). Map viewer draws the entire linear asset on the geographical system using coordinates which helps in locating the portion where the problem occurred and proceeding with the work resolution.

This is a 12.1.3/12.2 Project wherein we introduced a new feature called Safety enhancements, which enables to take permit, clearance on a maintenance work that is being performed on hazardous machinery or equipment to prevent any unexpected injury to the resource who performs the maintenance work. The machinery or equipment will be isolated by being locked and tagged out. Energy sources could include mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, chemical, and thermal.

From Release 11i, there exists the concept of “work order “, which is the backbone of the Enterprise asset management (eAM) product.

But in earlier releases, to complete a work order there are quite a number of flows and a user has to navigate through different pages from the time onwards the creation of work order, issue the material, charge it, complete it etc., All these flows are covered in one single page and in one flow, which enables the user to raise and report the work related to maintenance activity at a single shot.
