Position aspired: HR Director / VP in single and/or multisite environment, one country and/or regional management responsibility.

Profile: Senior HR executive with strong & successful background in owning (establishing & running) the HR function & people agenda in the domestic multistate ( Florida, Puerto Rico, Texas, California, Nevada, Montana) and international markets (over 15 foreign locations).

Reporting to the CEO or similar position, being member of executive management teams, I have had the responsibility of guiding and managing the overall provisions of HR services, policies and programs in an atmosphere of a high performance culture that always emphasized empowerment, quality, productivity and attainment of goals. Process (Continuous) Improvements: HR support, training and involvement in the establishment of Lean Manufacturing/ Six Sigma in a 5 BU organization, 6 S implementation, HR Kaizens.

HR Policies and Procedures: Establishment and/or reorganization of full scale HR Departments, its management, creation and implementation of corporate and local policies and procedures, establishment of people agenda and mid and long term objectives and strategies. Member of Leadership boards and teams.

Bottom Line contributions: US $ 300.000 to 1.000.000 per year favorable impacts based on HR initiatives and/or administered projects.

Recruiting: C-Suite, professional and administrative levels. Achieved up to 40% reduction in average annual recruiting time and costs.

On Boarding: three step process with statistical follow up and continuous improvement tracking.

Performance Management: 100% execution of annual performance measurement programs, cross functional performance committees, self-appraisals, 360 programs. 80% success rate in performance improvement programs.

Engagement and Retention: 95% participation rate in engagement surveys with engagement results increase, on bi annual basis, from < 70% to 85%. Employee wellness initiatives, three point meetings, employee management committees, parallel management exercises, open feedback instruments, work life balance programs, HR forums run by non HR representatives with HR coaching. Overall (all payrolls) turnover rate brought down and kept at low historical levels of 5 – 7 %.

OD: annual development cross functional reviews, increase in training and development annual man hours by 200%, establishment of a regional assessment and development center catering to a population of 1500 employees. Annual succession matrix and cross functional review. Fast track programs for up to 100 candidates. Integration instruments such as Myers – Briggs.

Salary and Compensation: Innovative and alternate compensation and benefit programs. Performance reward guidelines and administrative support system. Exempt employee complimentary benefit options. Stock option award systems. These initiatives also included Sales and Distribution organizations. Annual cost reduction targets of 10% achieved on an ongoing basis.

M & A / Start ups: HR lead in 6 grass root startups and 8 M & A with applicable due diligence, execution, organizational structuring, change management initiatives and programs in USA and Latin America. Highlight: Nominated for best practice. This included the responsibility for the BP – Amoco merger in South America.

Change Management: Support system for Lean Manufacturing with all required training tools; move from centralized manufacturing structure to multiple business unit structure.

Employee Relations: labor populations from 400 to 8000 employees. 6 Union collective bargaining negotiations and agreements. Sexual harassment and/or conflict of interest investigations and resolutions. Support or handling of over 1000 terminations. Development and execution of union free business strategies and environments.

Assurance and Compliance: Affirmative Action, FMLA, Workers Comp, FLSA, ADA, EEOC, OSHA, COBRA and other in USA and abroad. Corporate policy manuals, regulations, mission and vision statements, business credos.

Budgeting: Strategic manpower planning, one, three and five year forecasting, annual HR and service budgets of up to US $ 80 million / year.

Support Systems: PeopleSoft, Success Factors, Pay Review, among other.

International Assignments: México, Brasil, Argentina, Venezuela, Colombia, Ecuador, Perú, Central América & Caribe Islands (T&T, Grenada, Barbados, Aruba, Curacao). These are in country and / or regional, multi site management assignments.
