Staff Reservoir Engineer

In charge of the Oil and Gas shallow resource characterization work, surveillance plan, and full field review /studies on the Oklahoma area including type curve and reservoir simulation model to identify sweet spots for Upside Cherokee Carbonate, Prue Sand, Upper Marmaton Sand, Cleveland, Tonkawa, Mid Tonkawa, Douglas Sand, Shawnee, Redfork with 42.0 net resources MMBOE total, and the Shales Plays (Mississippian, Woodford and Springer Reservoirs located in Stack and Scoop area that represent 400 new well opportunities with 34.3 net resources MMBOE total.

Responsible for preparing and building a Reservoir Model simulation for the shallow, tight, and shale reservoirs to maximize the well density, well spacing for multi wells, and hydrocarbon recovery to assist in reservoir optimization and reserves estimation.

Worked in multi-disciplined team to identify and develop new exploration drilling opportunities with a contribution of ~ 105.6 MMBOE total in Anadarko Basin.

Coordinated a reserves team, external audits, make review of reserves and resources estimates, and follow the SEC & PRMS reserves guidelines in Anadarko Basin.

Petroleum Engineer

Built and updated reservoir models, history match, decline curve and forecast analysis to perform post–well evaluation for appraisal development.

Evaluated, recommended, implemented production optimization activities, and A&D.

Built 150 horizontal wells HM on Eagleford shale reservoir to assist the reservoir characterization, optimization and reserves estimation using Rate Transient Analysis (RTA), Prosper and GAP.

Conducted Production Optimization studies (artificial lift, compression, well flow analysis, liquid loading issues). Evaluated central Compressor Project in Gates & Cotulla area with a cost of $20 MMUSD in which 150 Horizontal wells completed in Eagleford Reservoir were tied into the new flowline system. Rate Transient Analysis plus Nodal Analysis methodologies were used to perform the uplift calculation and reservoir pressure behavior estimation. As a result of this project, there was a field production increase of ~18 MMscfd, ~ 450 BOPD and ~1300 BWPD.

Identified P&A well candidates, prepared P&A costs, and workover procedures.

Identified 45 new well opportunities (re-completions) of 350 wells reviewed in Douglas, Cleveland, Tonkawa, Atoka, Upper and Lower Morrow Reservoirs located in Ochiltree and Lipscomb County

Petroleum Engineer Consultant

Designed the optimum horizontal length and fracture stage in Horizontal well study in Muscat Oman OOCEP using a numerical simulation.

Completed Design Nodal Analysis for production target by sands. Reported the actual worst case discharge (WCD) flow rate value assuming an uncontrolled open hole flow to atmosphere from the uncased borehole.

Optimized hydraulic fracture completion on US Shale Plays Reservoir using 3D simulation, fracture modelling and risk analysis to determine best scenario on well architecture and fracture dimensions’ design on Barnett, Bakken, Austin Chalk, Monterey, Niobrara, Marcellus, Haynesville and Eagle Ford formations. Built the base case well Inflow/Outflow with the new optimum frac dimension/configuration.

Performed a well completion production optimization study applying uncertainty analysis using Prosper and DMS to evaluate different completion scenarios for deep water GOM wells

Designed directional drilling well planning in Permian Basin. USA.

Created a DMS – Prosper, GAP and MBAL. Documented manual and training presentation (English and Spanish) and uploaded on the I learn system.

Made reserve estimations using decline curve analysis and A&D to identify new opportunities in the Powder River Basin (Turner Formation) in Wyoming and Permian Basin (Wolfcamp, Wolfberry Trend, and Bone Spring formation in Texas-New Mexico, USA

Analyzed and identified workover opportunities using production surveillance system technique (DSS) by 11 fields in Santa Barbara California. (Belridge North, Casmalia, Cat Canyon, Coalinga East Texas, Gato Ridge, Los Flores, Pleasant Valley, Richfield, Rincon, Zaca and Santa Maria Valley), 1057 wells were completed in the field and found 60 opportunities to re-activate.

Performed nodal and well testing analysis. Analyzed and identified workover opportunities, increased production of heavy and light oil reservoirs, including economic and risk analysis.

Coordinated field data gathering (pressure and production data), and optimized enhanced recovery projects in the San Jorge River basin (Comodoro Rivadavia), Manantiales Berh (San Diego Sur and Myburg reservoir) and Sierras Blanca Field (Neuquén) in Argentina.
