ELECTRONIC PUBLISHING MANAGER
Created and produced catalogs, sales brochures, magazine and newspaper ads, ad slicks and direct mail pieces. This included a 40 page-4 color monthly merchandise catalog, a 20 page- bi-monthly travel catalog and a 24 page-home resource catalog with a variety of other high- quality 4-color work, including logo creation on Adobe Illustrator and photo scanning with Adobe Photoshop. Worked with account representatives to coordinate and maintain the pro- duction of all electronically produced material. Work with service bureaus to provide jobs on discs for linotronic, canon fiery output, iris proofs, or straight to film. With a system consultant, implemented a Macintosh desktop publishing system using Quark XPress, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, and other supporting software to move type-setting/design in house. Designed special advertising sections, advertorials, and display advertising. Responsible for all promotional material including scheduling and obtaining price quotes. Worked with the production manager coordinating and maintaining all production schedules and deadlines and worked with prep house to approve 4-color and B/W advertising. Implemented a Macin- tosh desktop publishing system to replace the existing traditional typesetting system, both editorially and advertising. Worked closely with each sales representative to assure deadlines and accuracy of each ad. Re-designed media kit and produced monthly direct mail brochures and sales presentations.

Designed and laid out monthly departments and re-designed special advertising sections. Provided support to the Art Director by coordinating and maintaining all production sched- ules and deadlines. Hired illustrators, managed free-lance art staff, specified manuscripts and prioritized all mechanical work.
