Working on a funded project with the Drug Enforcement Authority (DEA, USA) to model a smart container carrying drugs equipped with RFID technology & RTLS system to enhance its traceability using Design for Six Sigma Methodology.
Our work has been recognized & approved by IISE (Institute of Industrial & Systems Engineering) for delivering a presentation on our research at its Annual Conference to be held in Pittsburg in May 2017.
Worked on the testing of Ultra Frequency RFID tags provided by Metalcraft to test its signal picking efficiency at various distances from the receiver in x,y,z coordinates.

Data accumulation and analysis of data required to forecast the housing property rates in Plano area of Texas.
Developing SLR and MLR models using SAS and plotting scatter plots to analyze the trend in the variation of the property rates.
Facility Design for ABC Company October 2016 – December 2016
Performed storage analysis and designed a fully functional Grocery Industry Warehouse equipped with an efficient material flow pattern and warehouse management system, having storage capacity of over 1 million cases on hand.
Calculated space requirements, incorporating the calculations regarding number of racks, pallets, forklifts, man hours, required FTEs, truck loads, number of doors and shift patterns.
Simulation Modeling of a Manufacturing Unit July 2016 – August 2016
Performed discrete-event simulation using WITNESS 20 Horizon to simulate material handling process of a manufacturing facility.
Identified Bottleneck operations and optimized the facility using combinations of parameters to increase the productivity to 8000 units/day and slashed per unit cost from $160/unit to $92.72/unit, thereby increasing the efficiency of the plant by over 30%.
Evaluating the Impact of RFID in the Inventory Management at Walmart June 2016 – July 2016
Developed Assembly and Process flow charts to analyze the current material handling process flow.
Identified the areas of Improvement using methodologies such as Lean,Kanban, JIT and Kaizen (Continuous Process Improvement).
