• Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering.
• Honors: Academic Third People’s Scholarship Winner. GPA: 3.7/4.0 WORK EXPERIENCE
Design Engineer 11/2016 – 02/2017
International Fuel Systems Ontario, CA
• Researched customer’s design requirements, then developed assembly and part drawings.
• Simplified the models and used MIL-STD-810F method for Random vibration test, crash test, fatigue test in Solidworks Simulation. Imported PSD-vs-Frequency Spectrum from ASTM D4169 Truck Profile Update Rationale and set contact sets. Debugged all errors to generate mesh and run the simulation successfully.
• Located the maximum stress area and obtained the maximum damage percentage of the product.
• Changing the material or drafting performance requirements for product development to keep the resultant stress and resonant frequencies of the products in the right range. Mechanical Design Engineer 07/2016 – 11/2016
XCG Design Corp New York, NY
• Teamed with engineering department to build the structural design and test design of materials.
• Created manufacturing standards that were adopted throughout the production facility. ENGINEERING PROJECTS
Research Assistant 02/2016 – 05/2016
• Assisted Prof. Hamid Dalir in a project named: The influence of ply waviness on strength and stiffness of composite laminates. Utilized ABD matrix theory, [90/0/90] ply model, C language programming and FEA method to formulate both plies with waviness and without waviness in Matlab 2014a.
• The results showed that the ply waviness would reduce the strength and stiffness of laminate. Audi RS8 Race Prepped Model Design Evaluation 08/2015 – 11/2015
• Constructed several mesh models in Star-CCM+ to simulate the Audi RS8 model at different speed.
• Generated report about the analysis and results of intercooler duct mass flow rate, drag coefficient, etc. DFM and Redesign for Toaster 01/2015 – 04/2015
• Completed benchmarking, customer’s requirement analysis and function analysis of the toaster.
• Redesigned innovative component replacements that improved functioning, reduced the cost and extended the life of equipment.
Portable Toy Parachute Design Project 03/2014 – 06/2014
• Designed a stove with reduced air friction by drawing 3D mesh and simulating in Abaqus 6.13.
• Realized the functionality of reducing air friction and of solving rope intertwining problem. TECHNICAL SKILLS
• Solidworks 2016, Pro/E, AutoCAD, Abaqus 6.13, ANSYS, C++, Matlab, DFM Pro, MS Office.
• Bilingual in English and Mandarin Chinese.
