Prepared and executed the month-end closing process for S-Corp company with 2 divisions-rental and retail in NC and SC. This included all general ledger entries-adjustments/ reconciliations, accruals, prepaid expenses, and preparation of all financials for officers, bankers & CPA of a $5 Million+/year company completed accurately and in a timely manner.

Supervised fast paced corporate office with a staff of 3-6 people on a daily basis to maintain an effective and cohesive support staff for 6-20 rental/ retail locations throughout NC & SC.

Daily reconciliation of the rental/retail stores daily reports, inventory, credit card, cash transactions, and online payments including any adjustments/ corrections that needed to be made to the accounts. Working with the rental/ retail stores and the credit card company to make the necessary credit card/ online corrections at the store level and on the company’s general ledger.

Supervised all accounts payable and accounts receivables for $5 million/year Company consisting of 6-20 store locations throughout NC & SC for 21 years. Weekly payables were on average $100K+. Account receivables were on average $450K-$500K/ mos.

Approved/ matched all payables and inventory through a PO system to verify receipt of products and services before payment. Resolved any issues with short &/or damaged inventory by working with vendors to receive credits. Maintained all vendor files.

Prepared and distributed yearly 1099’s and W-2’s

Printed all the checks for the company and made sure all bills paid timely on a weekly and monthly basis with less than 1% error rate in payments, eligible discounts, and terms of payment. This was achieved due to my exceptional attention to detail, analytical, and follow-up skills.

Prepared, filed, and paid semi-monthly NC & SC Sales taxes, bi-weekly 941 Payroll taxes and quarterly 940 Payroll taxes.

Performed all yearly audits for various lending institutions, worker’s compensation, and property tax audits, etc.

Cut AP expenses over 10% of $350,000/mos G&A over 8 mos. period by renegotiating terms with vendors-credit card processor, phone and trash companies, etc.

Supervised all accounts receivables due to the company and made sure the monies were collected on a timely manner.

Balanced monthly Bank Statements for multiple bank accounts with great attention to detail and accuracy.

Made weekly bank deposits for the company, coded and posted to correct general ledger accounts.

Handled all aspects of payroll consisting of gathering employee information, time sheets from the rental stores, figuring weekly and monthly bonuses for hourly and salaried employees, and printing the biweekly payroll checks and distributing to the employees with less than 1% error ratio on all payroll checks through High Touch and ADP payroll system.

Executed and submitted yearly property tax listings and paid all property taxes for 20 locations in a timely manner.

Duties consisted of Recruiting, Hiring, & Disciplinary measures on a daily basis from approximately 30-60 employees in 6-20 locations throughout NC & SC over 24 years.

This consisted of making sure all rental stores were staffed adequately and employee counseling &/or disciplining when needed.

Onboarding of all new employees including new hire paperwork, benefits, uniform, and coordinating necessary training.

Gathering, entering, and printing biweekly payroll for 35-85 employees thru High Touch and ADP payroll systems. Paid all bonuses as well-daily, weekly, and monthly bonuses.

Kept payroll overtime expense within 1-2% of budgeted amount on a consistent biweekly basis.

Administering benefits including Medical/ Dental/Life/401K/ short term and long term disability.

Figuring Payroll taxes on biweekly, quarterly, and yearly basis and making tax payments timely and any correspondence with IRS.

Unemployment claims & hearings of entire company with less than 1% loss of all hearings.

Worker's Compensation claims with dealings with insurance company and employees, lawyers, etc.
