Musculoskeletal Transplant Foundation, Jessup, Pennsylvania, (2013-2017)
A non-profit organization dedicated to the procurement, processing, and distribution of allograft tissue to the surgical community.
Processing Technician Supervisor, (2013-Present)
Reports to the Business Unit Manager. Responsible for approximately 20 processing and packaging technicians during 2nd shift operations.
Hire, train, and develop a workforce capable of processing and packaging allograft tissue in a highly regulated, sterile environment.
Developed and implemented multiple communication tools used to improve information gathering and flowing between technicians, supervisors, shifts and departments.
Active participant on several cross functional teams. Goals range from process improvement to alignment of processes to regulatory requirements.
Garland Commercial Industries, Inc., Freeland, Pennsylvania, (2002 to 2010)
A manufacturer of several product lines related to commercial cooking equipment and distributor of supplemental products manufactured by other entities under the same corporate umbrella.
Value Engineer/Lean Champion, (2003 to 2010)
Responsible for the introduction and implementation of Lean Manufacturing principles both on the shop floor and in the front end operations as well as coordinate cost reduction initiative programs through our product management department.
Introduced Lean Manufacturing tools to both the hourly and salaried workforce.
Conducted several kaizen events in the assembly areas that resulted in the consolidation of two separate facilities. This allowed for the sale of a 45,000 square foot building.
Instituted the use of many visual factory management techniques including all key factory metrics and Takt time boards for each assembly area to measure hourly performance.
Production Supervisor, (2002 to 2003)
Coordinated the hiring and training of a temporary supplemental workforce added to support a short term spike in demand.
Pride Mobility Products, Inc., Exeter, Pennsylvania, (1994 to 2002)
A privately owned manufacturing company that designs, produces, and distributes electric mobility devices and power lift chairs.
General Manager, Lift Chair Division, (2001 to 2002)
Reported to the Operation Manager. Responsible for the operation of the northeastern distribution center along with P/L responsibility of the Lift Chair Division.
Responsible for development of new supplier relations and contract negotiations.
Relocated assembly and warehousing operation. Result: 65% floor space reduction.
Restructured supply chain and diverted over 50% of assembly operations to turnkey operation in Cleveland Tennessee with direct shipment to all distribution centers in North America and internationally. Result: 10% gross profit increase.
Production Manager, (1998 to 2001)
Responsible for 80 non-union employees in the receiving, assembly, testing, packing, and shipping activities. Accountable for safety, quality, cost, and customer satisfaction.
Implemented a new supply chain strategy. Result: Improved on time shipping measurement to 98% from 85%.
Maintained a culture of safety, quality, and cost during a growth rate of 15% on 40 million dollar annual sales.
Promoted to Division General Manager.
Assistant Production Manager, (1994 to 1998)
Reported to the Production Manager. Responsible for supporting the production manager in running the day to day operations and coordinating with the production control department in the development of production schedule.
Collaborated with Product Manager in maintain bill of materials.
Developed SOP’s in assembly department to aid in the uniformity of product and aid in the training of new employees.
