Head of Operations – Bio-Surgery 2015 -

Responsible for 5 manufacturing facilities in the UK, CA and MN producing 15+ products in Bio-Surgery and Renal Therapies. Key member of Bio-Surgery Franchise Team focused on setting strategic direction and making growth decisions for the business.

• Leading the integration of 3 Bio-Surgery sites into Baxter after the spin-off from Baxalta/Shire.

• Realigned site organizational structures leading to significant improvements in focus, safety, quality, efficiency, delivery and cost.

• Execute supply chain analysis and implement key processes resulting in a >$30M reduction in finished good, work in-process and raw material inventory.

• Developed and implemented culture, compliance initiatives and quality tools to significantly improve inspection readiness and understanding of regulatory/compliance risks. Put sites in best position to improve/lift legacy Baxter reputation and enforcement actions.

JABIL/NYPRO HEALTHCARE, Singapore and Shanghai, China 2013 – 2015 Head of Operations - Shanghai (2014 –2015)

Led development and execution of healthcare operations strategy in China, including sale, consolidation and building of facilities.

• Led options analysis to determine viability of the sale of current Shanghai China manufacturing site, and whether to build/lease a new facility. Performed real estate analysis in Shanghai to generate a list of lease and build options/locations. Developed timelines, scenarios and financial model to compare all scenarios and facilitate final decision. Head of Singapore Operations – Singapore (2013 – 2014) Recruited to direct the construction, start-up and validation of 300,000 sq./ft. medical device and high-end computing/storage manufacturing facility, serving 6 different customers, 26+ products, 350+ employees.

• Directed plant operations and managerial focus to finish new facility, achieving regulatory and financial plant turnaround within 9 months.

• Developed and implemented quality systems, culture and compliance initiatives to lift a customer “business hold” and pass audits in the new facility. Resulted in approval to begin production in new facility and a bid on $200M of new business.

• Worked with Singapore Economic Development Board to establish new medical device design collaboration and contract manufacturing opportunity. The first Class II cardiovascular medical device to Jabil with a potential of > $100M in revenue. GENENTECH/ROCHE, Singapore and South San Francisco, CA 2005 –2013 Director Supply Chain, Operational Excellence, Technical Training and IT - Singapore (2007 – 2013) Key member of Singapore Site Leadership team responsible for start-up and licensure of two $600M Biologics manufacturing facilities in Singapore, manufacturer of Genentech’s 3 largest Biologics products (Avastin, Herceptin, Lucentis), and company’s first Biologics plants and supply chain outside of US. Winner of ISPE Facility of the Year Award.

• Led Singapore Program, consisting of 8 work streams that resulted in successful start-up of 2 manufacturing plants/operations in Singapore.

• Built and mentored the Singapore Supply Chain/Materials Management organization (60+ employees, 800+ SKUs). Achieved a robust supply chain with 100% on-time delivery and strong succession/talent pipeline.

• Completed 8 US FDA, European Medicines Agency and Rest Of World compliance/regulatory inspections with zero major observations.

• Worked closely with key suppliers and local warehouse/logistics firms to set up vendor managed local inventory, reducing inventory by >$15M and significantly reducing supply lead times/risk.

• Directed inventory and supply chain analysis resulting in decision to build a $20M warehouse expansion prior to capacity constraints and limited manufacturing capabilities.

• Led local implementation of SAP, ensuring all data and configuration was in place to enable key processes.

• Developed Singapore Site Operational Excellence Strategy and led the site’s Class A - World Class Manufacturing & Supply Chain Initiative.

• Turned around facility operations, leading plant back to profitability within 9 months of becoming site head.

• Streamlined facility operations, achieving 40% reduction in inventory, 90% reduction in quality issues and increasing customer service to 100%.
