Bachelor of Engineering (4 years) in Metallurgical and Material Science from Faculty of Technology and Engineering, Maharaja Sayajirao University, Vadodara, Gujarat. (2012 pass out – with Distinction) Responsibilities as Corrosion and Inspection Engineer:

Currently leading RIL, VMD (Vadodara Manufacturing Division) site for implementation of RBI (Risk Based Inspection) program through Asset Performance Management (APM) software by Meridium Inc.

Dexterous in conducting External, On-stream and Internal inspection on static equipment i.e Heat exchangers, Vessels, Columns, Tanks, Spheres, Reactors etc./ pipelines.

Proficient in Corrosion Management, Damage Mechanisms, Risk Based Inspection, Welding and Repair, Failure Investigation and Failure analysis across petrochemical sector.

Familiar with applicable Industry standards and codes, especially, ASME and API specifications associated with pressure vessels and piping – ASME Section IIA, Section V, Section VIII Division I, Section IX, ASME B31.3; API 510, API570, API 571, API 580, API 581.

Responsible for developing Asset integrity plans and Inspection strategies to prolong the safe run time; Keeping record of asset deterioration patterns to predict failures and ensure timely repair / replacement.

Demonstrated expertise in planning, supervising, manpower management and implementing routine and non-routine corrosion mitigation and control activities

Responsible for carrying out stage wise welding inspection of newly fabricated pipelines/equipment that involve DPT / MPI, hydro test, Pneumatic test, Ferrite Checking, Radiography film interpretation, etc.

Well versed with corrosion control techniques such as Material up-gradation / Material selection and Protective Coatings.

Familiar with welding techniques such as SMAW, GTAW, FCAW.

Experience of working with CS, P11, P22, SS, HK40, Incoloy 800, Inconel, Nickel, Monel, Hastealloy, Cast Iron, Barss, etc.

Participated as Inspection Engineer in 50+ Shutdowns / turnarounds at different sites and plants of Reliance Industries.

Identifying Root Cause Analysis (RCA) of a failure and implementing the relevant recommendations as a part of preventive maintenance.

Monitoring IOW (Integrity Operating Windows) limits for any deviation with respect to operating parameters and accordingly planning the health assessment of the equipment / piping.

Inspection of process equipment and piping during shutdown from preventive and predictive maintenance point of view along with providing timely recommendations for improving the asset integrity during turnarounds.

Follow-up implementation of approved recommendations to ensure that all the maintenance/repair/modification/replacement activities are carried out in timely manner.

Check/audit completed works and certify satisfactory completion ensuring that related records are updated for forthcoming inspections.

Ensuring the incoming materials at the site are complying with the specified requirements as a part of last chance inspection.

Developing Procurement Specifications and Inspection Requirements for the vendors to adhere to while procuring a static equipment i.e to review the Quality Assurance Plan (QAP).

Test equipment and piping using NDT methods employing Ultrasonic flaw detectors, Thickness Meters, Hardness Testers, Magnetic Particle Tester, Dye Penetrant Testing, Fibro-scope, Vacuum Box testing, etc. to determine the cause, type, extent and rate of erosion/corrosion/wear in the static assets.

Carrying out Trade Validation of the contract personnel to ensure that they are adequately trained and certified personnel are available to meet the job specifications.

Solely responsible for site level management of Indian Boilers Regulations and responsible for dealing with Government authorities handling boilers.

Responsible for managing site level SMPV (Static and Mobile Pressure Vessels) inspection and testing which is centrally regularized by Government of India. Certification and Training:

Attended in house ASNT level II in RT training by Asian Academy of Professional Training, Pune.

Attended in house training program on “ASME Section VIII Div 1” By ASME training program.

Attended in house API 510, API 570, API 580, API 581 six days training of each course and Inspection and testing of heat exchangers by Asian Academy of Professional Training.

Summer internship training during college at Indian Oil Corporation Limited, IOCL in corrosion and inspection department for 3 weeks in July 2011.

Summer internship training during college at Alstom (General Electric), Baroda in Quality Control department for 2 weeks in June 2011.

Summer internship training during college at Siemens India Ltd. In Quality Assurance department for 2 weeks in June 2010.
