CPL is the largest Secondary Butyl Alcohol & Methyl Ethyl Ketone manufacturer in India; it is double stream plant with capacity of 22000 MTPA SBA and 12000MTPA of MEK, Secondary Butyl Ether, LPG, Hydrogen designed by M/s Uhdu Germany Technology with YOKOGAWA CENTUM VP DCS.

Role & responsibilities

Supervising the Methyl Ethyl Ketone production plant and Maintaining & monitoring plant performances, parameter through DCS Centum VP panel and field in process plant to ensure the safe and efficient operations.

Following Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and Shutdown & Startup activities as when its necessary

Handling of Various distillation columns, Pumps, Butene Compressors, Heat Exchangers and Valves, Pressure vessels.

Knowledge about control system and Experience in process optimization and troubleshooting of units operations and its related issues

Monitoring and troubleshooting the plant performance through on a day-to-day basis.

Responsible for the targeted production, Quality product and Raw material planning in coordination with crude Refinery.

Well conversant with process safety & safety standards.

Safe handling of the LPG storage bullets and Tank farms areas.

Monitoring and accounting of pipe line transfers, ensuring products and raw LPG Tanker loading, C4 unloading and Products barrel filling.

Having authorities to take Emergency Shut Down when it's necessary.

Experience of handling a team of technicians and working in shifts.

Experience in MIBK Project (Plant from Shell Company in USA Houston)

Hazop Study Meeting. Study of P&ID, PFD &UFD and Issuing comments for the Revision in the MIBK Project.
