1/2014-current Penn Highlands Clearfield- Director of Behavioral Health Services
Director of Inpatient and Outpatient Behavioral Health Services within Penn Highlands Clearfield. Management of staff and daily routine of the inpatient unit
and the outpatient office. Conducts analysis of department needs for equipment,
staffing, educational resources, etc. on which to base budget, Manages to meet or
exceed budget targets and modifies budget priorities based on budget variances.
Works in conjunction with Human Resources to hire new staff for unit. Manages
effective Performance Improvement (PI) program for the unit that focuses on
Evidence-Based Practice/Outcome Measurement, is based on organizational and
departmental PI goals, targets to achieve outcomes based on internal or external
comparison benchmarking, and engages staff in PI activities

11/2013-1/2014 Acting Director at Clearfield Hospital-Bright Horizons-Geriatric Behavioral
Health and Bright Horizons Outpatient.
Along with my social work duties, was placed as assisting
with unit management duties that included payroll, scheduling, daily activities
on the unit and hiring of staff. Also assisted with the Outpatient Clinic.
8/2011-1/2014 Licensed Social Worker Clearfield Hospital-Bright Horizons-Geriatric
Behavioral Health Unit
Social Worker for the Clearfield Hospital. Primary responsibility was within the
Bright Horizons Behavioral Health Unit, but was also consulted throughout the
entire hospital, including the ER, ICU and Med-Surg unit regarding difficult
social service issues. My duties on the Bright Horizons unit included completion
of psychosocial assessments on every admission, individual treatment plans,
treatment plan updates, individual and group therapy. Daily contacts with family,
nursing homes and other involved supports. Family education regarding diagnosis
of Dementia and treatment plans. Participation in treatment team meeting with
doctor and nursing staff. Intake and Assessment of referrals for admission, face-
to-face in the ER including completing Mini Mental Exams. Making referrals for
needed services and planning discharges. I also completed insurance reviews and prior authorizations for admission.
Consults within the hospital regarding difficult social services issues included, but
not limited to: drug and alcohol placement, unsafe living environments, difficult
placements, completion of PASSR’s for Nursing Home Placement.

As a Masters Level Therapist my duties included conducting individual,
couple, and family therapy with children, adolescents and adults. I also made contact with collateral providers, completed daily notes and treatment plans. I also assessed progress towards goals and needs for discharge.
