Manage 13 information technology department employees for a $700M grocery wholesaler and support over 200 independent grocery stores through Wisconsin, Illinois, Minnesota and Iowa. Responsible for all technology and order processing for the distribution center and stores; including, website hosting, website design and development, application development, business information, data analytics, big data, ERP management, company and multiple store payroll and accounting, multiple store point of sale system and back office, warehouse management system, demand planning systems, database management, telephone systems, budgeting, disaster recovery, business continuation and digital migration.

Cut overall technology operating expense by more than 50% within two years.

Revitalized a failed Microsoft Dynamics NAV ERP implantation and replaced a mainframe system which was originally installed in the 1960’s. Upgraded to the Microsoft Dynamics NAV from version 5.1 to 2016 including database upgrade.

Replaced a 1970’s phone system to the most current Cisco Unified Communication System with video conferencing.

Replaced the 13 year old out dated wireless and wired network infrastructure with Cisco Systems. Setup a redundant connection between facilities and internet.

Replaced acoustic cypherlab store ordering device with a Motorola MC1000. In 2010, 0% of the store orders were coming in via the internet. As of today, 98% of the store orders are being processed via the internet.

Created a B2B and B2C internet platform to allow customers/venders to access key information, to place orders, enter deals and change pricing and item information. Implemented EDI with Edict Systems.

Setup disaster recovery and business continuation system. Implemented EMC and Veem to replicate key data to the backup datacenter. Also use mimics on the IBM iSeries to replicate WMS data. Setup redundant phone systems and internet connection, so if one facility has connection issues, it will failover to the other facility access.

Planned the Wireless network infrastructure, phone system, PA system and security camera system for 150,000 sq. feet cooler warehouse expansion.

Implemented Carbon Black virus/malware/ransomware protection.
