Re: Diversity & Inclusion Opportunities

Dear Associate/Hiring Manager:

Making an impact within business operations by leveraging diverse employees, suppliers, and marketing strategies is a critical part of successful business operations. As a 20-year diversity and inclusion practitioner, I have managed enterprise-wide diversity and inclusion that supported critical and inclusive processes and programs within the HR, Marketing, Supply Chain, and Philanthropy departments in organizations. Utilizing diversity and inclusion methodologies and business practices for sustained measurable results, I supported the leadership of a Chief Diversity Officer reporting to the President to implement, manage, and drive all D&I goals within critical areas at InterContinental Hotels Group. IHG is the world’s largest travel and hospitality management and franchising company - with over 15,000 employees and $1.8B in revenues, globally. In my role, I successfully created and managed collaborative teams within a geographically diverse and highly matrixed organization to integrate, measure and manage across business operations. Success was achieved by leveraging department expertise, existing systems, processes, and defined measures for success. Additionally, I created guidelines and programs to incorporate operational sustainability that ensured employees, businesses, and partners were engaged overtime.

Since 2010, I have partnered and consulted with organizations in all areas of diversity and know how to quickly identify relationships and partnerships to drive success. Over ten years in diversity experience has included employee branding and engagement, employee resource group creation and management, diversity training audit, creation and facilitation, University, K-12 and mentor programs, succession planning, employee policy and benefits enhancement, enterprise resource planning solution optimization, general/technical/financial card program guidelines management and implementation, corporate communications, diverse community charitable giving, volunteer programs and event management, diversity recruitment strategy and implementation, employee engagement events and programs, diversity council participation and management, employee resource groups strategies and programming, community board and external partnerships management, panel presentations and event speaking, supplier diversity e-solutions strategy, management and implementation, and consumer insights and diversity marketing strategies.

In addition to the professional experience noted above, I offer an educational background with honors that includes a BS in Psychology and countless diversity best practice sharing courses. My formal training included coursework and research experience in areas such as research development and design, testing and data collection, advanced statistics, and leadership and group dynamics. I look forward to the consideration of joining your team to create success through employees and communities.

Sincerely,

Kimberly D. Brown
