Responsible for complex welder fabrication, which include structure fitter duties of Aeroderivative power plants.
• Perform simple structural fabrication work, including: layout (leveling, measuring, squaring), position, arrange, fit small skids, brackets, and transitions, as well as install materials and components (such as sheet metal panels, flanges, uni-strut, and mounting plates on structural frames and bases, etc.)
• Perform fabrication on sheet metal components – forming, supporting, stiffening, welding (including making and installing doorframes, roof panels, porch panels, etc.)
• Perform wide variety of common fabrication tasks such as prep material, weld, braze, solder, burn (manual torch, track torch, plasma torch), arc gouge, grind, sand, drill, tap, and bevel components
• Performed basic assembly activities, including installation of mechanical, electrical, and piping components as necessary to meet delivery requirements
• Perform variety of heavy lift activities, such as using overhead cranes to load and unload trucks, load completed packages on axle, move package within and between buildings (including drive forklift as required to complete tasks)
• Prep raw metal and painted components for fabrication, as well as completed fabrication assemblies for paint (sand, mask, etc.)

• Prepare, arrange, fit, fabricate and assemble complex structural packages and sub-assemblies (such as fitting main bases, super structure, tanks, and other related components) utilizing complex drawings packages.
• Interpret drawings, blue prints, and general methods in order to successfully plan and execute production activities while guiding a small team in same activities.
• Perform inspection on fabricated components when received, as well as during and after completion of fabrication in shop.
• Complete required quality documentation, including level report and centerline layout configuration report.
• Complied with all safety, quality, and productivity in position of responsibilities.
• Adhere to GE Power (QMS) Quality Management System Work Instructions.
• In addition, perform same tasks as Welder Fabricator.
