Estimator

Worked in the sales department providing quotes for the cost for our interlocking steel panel buildings, primarily to house high voltage electrical equipment for the oil industry, using DOE’s Comcheck, Microsoft Word, Excel, and AutoCAD 2013 for clients such as CB&I, Fluor Daniel, and Panelmatic.

Read specifications and one-lines, to gain knowledge of the equipment needed, and for the structural necessities of the building. Calculated the wind loads, and the snow loads for the given area to determine the gauge steel needed for the building.

Interacted with suppliers to price the equipment necessary for the buildings.

Used Excel spread sheets to provide the cost for the equipment installation, all interior necessities, such as cutouts, doors, Marshalling Cabinets, Fire Protection, all utilities, receptacles, panel boards, transformers, and HVAC.

Using Comcheck, to calculate the insulation necessary in the building to comply with the Department of Energy codes and standards.

Calculated the heat loads from the building to size the HVAC.

Used AutoCAD 2013 to produce initial floor plan drawings to size the buildings, if none were provided.
