Wide-open design that offers unobstructed, panoramic views and flexibility to structure office spaces, including the Codina Partners headquarters, the Kraft Foods South American headquarters, Merrill Lynch, and Chase Bank. Over time I have designed about 85% of the tenant spaces and almost 100% of the redesigns. I was the only approved MEP Engineer for Tenant build-outs by the building owners

MIA Central Chiller Plant Renovation & Retrofit: MEP Engineer and Project Manager for the renovation of one of the largest chilled water plants in the SE United States, including a new Building Management System, two new 5000 ton Water-cooled chillers, the retrofit and upgrade of seven Water Towers (34,320 tons), 28,000 tons of Water-cooled Chillers, 8,200 Hp of Water Pumps, and 800 tons of Thermal (Ice Bank) Storage.

Miami-Dade College Leap Lab: HVAC Engineer for the complete remodel of the North Campus Library, a radical change of occupancy with the addition of two computer labs, ten new classrooms and a massive reduction in book stacks. The mechanical design was unique in the retrofitting to isolate the building from the campus chilled water loop using a self-contained chiller, with a desuperheater regenerated Enthalpy Wheel Outside Air unit, for maximum energy savings while the campus is closed for classes, when the Library and Computer Labs must maintain continuous twenty-four hour precise temperature and humidity conditions.

T.G.K. Medical Center: The retrofit of an existing medical clinic into an independent negative pressure infectious tuberculosis clinic with Bag-in-Bag-out Filters, within a continuously operating medium security prison facility.

Wellington Elementary School: HVAC Engineer and Design Project Manager for the retrofit of an existing school while maintaining the students in school. Including three new multistory buildings, a cafeteria, kitchen complex with a new utility plant with chillers, and generators for the existing, new, and future uses, and the demolition of six classroom buildings.

Designed Roof-top Natural Gas regenerated Enthalpy Wheel Outside Air Unit for precise Temperature and Humidity Control while saving energy.

MIA Concourse “E” IAQ: Lead MEP Engineer and Designer of the Air Conditioning systems Retrofit for the old Customs and International Gateway at Concourse “E.” The project included seven high static DOAS with natural gas regenerated enthalpy wheels, mounted on existing mechanical utility tower roofs, to provide 300% additional super dehydrated Outside Air to the existing Air Handlers on the floors below using the existing Outside Air ductwork.
