JOB RESPONSIBLITIES:

•Responsible for overall functioning of boiler including light-up & shut down.

•Regular monitoring of the equipment like Coal mill, Coal feeder, APH, FD, ID, PA, seal air & scanner fans.

•Responsible for normalization & isolation of all equipment.

•Handling emergencies like black-out in boiler & Coal mill area.

•Regular inspection for smooth running of Equipments, ensure smooth and safe operation..

•Responsible for operation of auxiliary boiler of 15 kg/cm2

•Maintaining daily log book, shift report & defect book.

•Check normal operational parameter & fill the check list accordingly.

•Check for the leakages.( oil, coal, air, flue gas, water, steam & ash)

•Co-ordination with Maintenance Department (Mech., C&I & Elect.)

Regular communication with control room via Walkie-Talkie.

Boiler: (PF top support, single re-heater, single drum, water tube boiler).

•steam generation capacity-440 t/hr,heating area-13200m3,pressure-150 bar, shoot blower pressure-1.3 MPa, shoot blower-(IR,IK,IKEL,APH). scanner fan,APH, gauge glass, hydra step, vent station,drain station,HFO & LDO station,HFO&LDO gun, safety valve, PCV, mssv. Monitoring and reporting the LDO and HFO oil pr and system leakages from line or at boiler Firing Flore and near gun. manual operation of valves in drain lines and in different system in boiler area as directed by boiler engineer. Coordination with control room during shoot blowing and manual retraction of wall blower. Boiler light up, elevations (wind box, HFO burners, flame scanners, HFO, LDO gun.). Air pre-heater. Soot blower, purging, boiler drum. APH, Scanner fan. Monitoring of parameters like oil pressure,oil level, local gauge. Bearing temperatures of all above fans.

•Monitoring furnace flame for healthiness and boiler internal shoot deposition monitoring and reporting. bottom ash hopper unloading and area cleanliness. Co-ordination with control room while cut in HFO and LDO gun, and isolation, normalization during oil gun cleaning. LRSB .monitoring and reporting the scanner fans, APH motor running status, oil levels and bearing temp and ash/air leakages from APH. Checking for safety valves passing and S/RH spray line leakages. Cleaning of equipment’s and its instruments, electrical equipment and local panels and maintaining area housekeeping.
