This hospital is the main governmental referral hospital that serves Hafr-El Batin City and wide areas belonging to its District. It is the referral center for most cases needing consultation or special care and management. It receives cases from almost all private hospitals, polyclinic and primary health care centers in the province. It has a capacity of 50 pediatric beds, 45 beds in nursery unit and 20 beds in PICU. I have rotated in the various subspecialty clinics and departments. I worked for almost one and a half year in the neonatology department with around 30 births per day, Unit has 45 incubators and 20 cribs (NICU, ICN, feeder and grower babies unit, with 5-10 ventilators of various types “conventional and high frequency”). Also neonates follow up clinic and well baby visits.

I started my job on Feb 2002 in as a Pediatrics resident in a 40 bed pediatrics department and continued my training of the pediatrics residency Program till October 2002.
