Asian factories in Taiwan / R.O.C as well as numerous domestic distributors and OEMs.
Commodity management of semiconductors, wafers, trans voltage suppresors, zeners, melfs / mini
melfs, bridges etc.
Reviewed and analyzed logistics information to determine most cost effective method of shipment /
sea vs air shipments.
Sat on material review board as representative for non compliant material disposition.
Key Achievements:
Played leading role in recovery of supplier who had closed its doors in April 2015, reopened in
June 2015 and in last six months has been able to provide delivery and quality improvements to the
97+ % . This was done with continued onsite visits; daily calls, close monitoring of processes,
materials, scheduling etc, as well as suggestions and feedback from my internal team to maximize
progress.
2013: Was lead role player for Purchasing Department in acquisition of KBI line of products for
previous employer; worked with internal departments to sustain customer base as well as with
internal Sales team to expand market; while fully integrating new product line in less than 120 days
time frame established for all teams within NDS. Was able to complete this acquisition process
smoothly, without losing one member of existing customer base.
Was successful from 2011 through 2013 in obtaining $260,000 to $440,000 on a yearly basis of
PPV savings on raw materials / resin purchases with aggressive negotiation tactics, blanket orders,
spot buys, multisourcing etc to present core savings to employer. Average PPV yearly savings were
approximately $80 120,000 prior to my involvement, when I assumed this position my attention to
detail and tenacious approach produced results that tripled NDS savings over three years.
