1.Didactic education for pastoral counseling skills plus 20 hours per week of patient care defined this two year program. My areas of responsibility over these two years were: ICU, Emergency Room, and Hematology Oncology.
2.My Ph.D. internship consisted of three particular areas: Philhaven’s “Recovery Of Hope” program, being a group facilitator for the staff at Hospice of Central PA, and counseling at the Boys’ and Girls’ Club of Harrisburg.
3.When I served as an assistant to the bishop a major area of my responsibilities was providing pastoral care and counseling to the clergy and their families of the Lower Susquehanna Synod. Oversight of the candidacy process for candidates for ordained ministry was also my responsibility.
