CLIMATE CHANGE EXPERT/

Founder Director -TWREEC, SIALKOT - PAKISTAN

From August 15, 1990 – Todate

During the year 1990, the applicant established sustainable development organization ``Third world Resources, Energy & Environment Centre – TWREEC (www.twreec.com) ’’ in the private sector of Pakistan for greater service to developing countries. I operate and steer TWREEC functions focused on oil & gas E&P, water & wastewater engineering, climate change (mitigation/adaptation), environmental consulting, R&D, technology transfer/adaption/ creation, training and authorship as highlighted below;

NATIONAL ENVIRONMENT - Rural and Urban

k.Lesser dependence on super GHG emitting refrigerant HFCs in the entire range of socioeconomic activity.

l.Renewable energy options for poor communities –legal, regulatory, techno-economic, operational and green aspects.

m.Manmade forestation for carbon sequestration and socioeconomic uplift.

n.Environmental knowledge and training for national survival, civilization, sustainable progress and poverty alleviation.

o.Health and sanitation programs.

p.Climate change related mitigation and adaptation measures.

q.Induction of resilient technologies for surface and ground water resources management.

ENVIRONMENT - Global

For meaningfully dealing with global warming, ozone layer issue and climate changes, techno-scientific evidence has notably held responsible the fossil energy resources namely oil, gas and coal. The singled out resolution is primarily sought after carbon and its oxides (chemically compounded, production associated with hydrocarbons, and combustion generated) out of which carbon capture, sequestration, storage and cyclic O2 conversion have to be sustain ably ensured at universal scale. The apparently impossible solution (equally beneficial to fossil energy and the mankind) can practically be achieved through international cooperation of the rich and poor in the below mentioned manners;

i.Realignment of governmental actions and plans to forthcoming climate change law and institutional rebirth in developing countries.

ii.Renewable energy options for developing countries and poor communities –legal, regulatory, techno-economic, operational and green aspects.

iii.Climate change issues – policy and action plan, cause and effect mitigation, adaptation, economic and institutional enforcement/reinforcement.

iv.Lesser yield of integrated CO2 content of fossil energy production & utilization, process and flue gas GHG removal and safe disposal.

v.Environmentally safe disposal and beneficial usage of recovered CO2.

vi.Curtailed reliance on dually harming firewood.

vii.Enlarged photosynthesis capacity - the universal oxygen and food cycles.

viii.Protected and restored assimilating capacity of environmental commons.

ix.CDM address, evaluation and management through HSE complied energy projects, field operations, industrial emission control, biomass decay control, renewable energy development, zero energy-emission based manufacturing, and broadening the carbon sink via tree plantation.

x.Aviodance of biodegradation in hydro-dams and stillwater bodies for curtailed methane emission.

In line with the above vitalities, areas of my professional expertise include the following;

a. Hydrocarbon E&P

- Control via minimized quantum and efficiency enhanced combustion.

- Removal from parent produced streams to internationally accepted standards.

- Special technologies and techniques for handling high CO2 natural resources.

- Cold emission curtailment of greenhouse and ozone damaging gases from CnH2n+2 natural reserves.

- Bulk CO2 extraction for EOR operations via ground injection.

- Special HSE strategies for heavy oil and coal exploitation.

b. Industrial

- Mainline hydrocarbon resources CO2 related E&P techno-economic policy and strategy address.

-Removal of CO2 by modernistic technologies - absorption, adsorption, chemical reaction and membrane.

- Flue gas scrubbing.

- Ground disposal of captured carbon compounds.

c. Forestation and Vegetation

- Preservation and promotion of photosynthesis capacity of the globe via natural and manmade forestry and vegetation.

d. Marine Resources

- Capacity and mode evaluation of global commons with respect to GHG response, mitigation, adaptation, and economics.

e. Alternative/Renewable/Green Energy Options

- Suitability evaluation for developed, developing and stagnant socioeconomic systems and degrading ecosystems.

-Techno-economic implications of solar, wind, firewood, bio, tidal and nuclear energy options in cross-linked carbon capture challenge.

OIL & GAS

i.Specialized onshore/offshore techno-economic and HSE studies of ranged oil and gas E&P activities.

ii.Production, process and facilities engineering for ranged project stages.

iii.Lithosphere, hydrosphere, and atmosphere related environmental management systems and services of the upstream petroleum sector protection, preservation, conservation and improvement. CDM applications as fresh-end and modified actions.

iv.Field development, revamp and radical redevelopment strategies and action plans: Newfield/Greenfield/Brownfield.

v.Full scale project engineering and management review and follow-up ranging from conceptual definition up to commissioning.

vi.Medium, major and mega field water supply and wastewater projects for human, commercial, industrial and reservoir maintenance purposes.
