Operations Director

Direct the daily operations for the production of large diameter polyurethane lay flat hose. Responsibilities include the development and implementation of all company policies and procedures, implementing safety policies and procedures, serve as safety committee chairperson, coordinating necessary training for all employees, managing all production processes to achieve company safety, quality, and delivery goals. Additional responsibilities include interaction with all vendors to maintain daily operations of the facility from a raw materials, maintenance, and operations perspective. Manage all Human Resources functions including recruiting, developing policies and procedures, payroll, interacting with benefits administration, worker’s compensation, training and development, employee evaluations, and employee relations. Interact with manufacturing, engineering, sales, human resources, and accounting to achieve company goals on all levels. All American Hose, LLC. – Fairview, PA 2007 to 2014

Plant Manager

Managed planning and purchasing functions for the production of fire hose.

Responsibilities included managing the planning and purchasing functions to achieve on time delivery of customer orders, maintain raw material levels to support production requirements and achieve inventory turns ratio goals, and effectively monitor vendor performance. Additional responsibilities include providing raw materials forecasts for vendors, managing computer transactions for production processes and inventory accuracy, developing and maintaining training programs for employees who support the planning and purchasing functions, providing monthly forecasts, supporting customer service inquiries on a routine basis to provide information related to customer orders. Achievements included revisions to the scheduling process to improve on time deliveries from an average of 55% to over 98%, implementation of a new inventory cycle count program to eliminate the need to conduct an annual physical inventory, participation in several lean manufacturing and 5S events. Launched an aggressive purchasing initiative to reduce inventory by reviewing vendor lead times to deliver goods more efficiently. As a result the dollar value of inventory decreased from over $7 million to just over $4 million. In addition, inventory turns ratio improved from 2.3 on average to just over 9.0. Participated in the launch of a bar coding project which supplies detailed order

information to customers. Also served as Safety Coordinator for all 3 divisions of the company’s safety committees and was involved with worker’s compensation for the company.
