PROJECTS

Quality Inspection of Infusion Solutions: Statistical Process Control (SPC)

Acquired pH and temperature samples from an intravenous production line based on 30-day batch records.

Performed Capability analysis and gauge repeatability and reproducibility (R&R) study to determine the level of variation.

Generated X-bar S control charts using Minitab and provided recommendations to improve the quality of IV fluids.

Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Project

Investigated the cause of the problem using data analysis tools in JMP software and reduced the billing cycle time in a private manufacturing firm.

Utilized DMAIC approach and LSS tools like Voice of Customer (VOC), SIPOC diagrams, Brainstorming, Measurement System Analysis (MSA), Fish-Bone diagram to develop solutions and to select the best one.

Reported savings worth $50000 in a calendar year.

Service Optimization using SIMIO

Developed a SIMIO model for a small manufacturing firm to identify bottleneck stations and to keep track of inventory.

Model consisted of seven stations, three entities with many constraints. Utilized schedules, rate tables, sequence tables, tokens and processes.

Conducted 100 experiments with real time data. Utilized Optquest, subset selection and KN procedure to select the best model with minimum cycle time.

Minimizing transportation and logistics cost at Valliant Commodities LLC

Minimized transportation costs between warehouses and distribution centers. Developed a transshipment model with two intermediate locations and three final destinations.

Utilized Excel Solver to determine the best alternative based on the given constraints, supply and demand.

Project was chosen as one of the best five, out of 20 projects. Savings of $10000 were reported after performing the cost calculations.
