Originally, the company was concentrating in the Cedar Rapids and Iowa market places, which was extremely competitive. I created a new sales approach which involved doing a nationwide demographic analysis to determine which marketplaces would be best suited for Involta to expand into. My first choice was Duluth MN, where we identified key anchor tenants that signed letters of intent to justify Involta building two data centers in Duluth, MN. Those two anchor tenants alone signed 10 year agreements totaling $2,376,000 annually. I oversaw the marketing program as well as design of the website. Trained sales team and agents to sell our products and services worldwide. Helped design marketing materials and design the website, as well as implemented a comprehensive and aggressive SEO program. Reason for Leaving: We merged with another company with a duplication of jobs. I was the one with lowest seniority, so I resigned .and remained friends with my employers.

Airlink/PaySpot were providers of pre-paid cell phones, credit cards, gift cards etc. Prior to me coming on board, the company had experienced an 11% churn rate and sales were sporadic. I trained 22 employees to strengthen their customer service/account retention skills. Then worked with brokers nationwide to develop a "Hands on" approach where all existing and potential customers were visited face to face and given the personal touch. That year we experienced a 0% churn rate and sales swent up dramatically as we added some of the nation's largest convenience store chains as customers. Reason for Leaving: Company was sold to a Texas company and Iowa branch closed down.

McLeodUSA (now Windstream) is a provider of local/long distance/internet/cable TV..etc. Originally, hired to open up and run the Janesville, WI branch with five employees we set sales records and were given the "Presidents Award" recognizing sales excellence. After extending my territory to include Madison, WI and Pewaukee, WI branches, I was promoted to National Account Manager at headquarters in Cedar Rapids, IA. to manage and upsell our largest most complex accounts, which included the world's largest retailer (Wal-Mart) that I grew from 170 locations to 880 locations within three years.
