Project Overview:

The Personal Properties Security Act (PPSA) is a new federal legislation passed by the Government of Australia in Dec 2009. The legislation covers all non real estate security. The legislation provides for the establishment of the Personal Properties Security Register (PPSR) where all security interests must be recorded to perfect interest. This single register replaces over 30 existing State & federal based registers. The aim of the PPSR reform is to implement a single legal framework for taking & enforcing interests in personal property, thereby increasing certainty in relation to the law & practice on personal property securities.

Roles & Responsibilities:

Gathered requirements from the business users and involved other asset teams.

Converted business requirements into technical requirements and developed design based on the requirements.

Coordinated development effort with different asset teams.

Performed peer reviews on code, test results, test plan etc.

Developed new and modified existing front-end screens using CICS and Objectstar.
