WARREN REGIONAL JUVENILE DETENTION CENTER, BOWLING GREEN, KY 2002 – 2007 JUVENILE FACILITY SUPERINTENDENT

Oversaw day to day administration of 48-bed juvenile detention center, including oversight of program administration, fiscal, maintenance, food service, medical and administrative units; provided reports on daily population, detainee violations and statistical reports, that are in compliance with state and local standards, for the Circuit Court, Department of Court Services, Administrative Office of the Kentucky Courts, Kentucky Department of Corrections and Kentucky Department of Human Services. Key Contributions:

Successfully prepared monthly, quarterly and annual reports on grant-funded programs operated within or by the Detention Center.

Developed, maintained and updated policy and procedures to guide operations of the Juvenile Detention Center that are in accordance with statutory guidelines and current case law.

Maintained extensive contact with Judges of the Circuit Court, Administrative Office of the Kentucky Courts, Kentucky Department of Juvenile Justice, Kentucky Probation and Court Services Association, social service agencies, the State's Attorney's Office, defense attorneys and other external state and federal level agency representatives associated with juvenile justice practices and initiatives in Kentucky.
