All classes/programs promoted at these venues included the following relationships/partnerships with the following agencies: WIC, Healthy Families Program, SNAP Program, Champions for Change, Mothers Nutrition, Adoption Law Program, Link Couples’ classes through Catholic Charities. pursue CPSP certification. In collaboration with department team members, participated in the Maternity Tea/Tour and Newborn Celebration events. Duties also included conducting Spanish Lamaze and English/Spanish breastfeeding classes. Maintained OB patient log; collected and entered data to track the patients and monitor them to ensure that those who enrolled in the program, actually delivered at Coastal. Also created promotional program flyers for distribution to physician offices and outside community agencies.

Responsible for recruiting new OB physicians and assisting with the application process to obtain staff privileges. Responsible for overseeing the CPSP program for the FQHC organization. Provided patients with the health, psychosocial and nutritional care as part of the program. Responsibilities also included program, assistance with insurance authorization or applying for Medi-Cal assistance. Patients required a comprehensive initial office appointment that included: WIC referrals, nutrition in-service, Lamaze, lactation, Infant CPR, BMI, Diabetic and Safety classes, in addition to facilitating one-on-one psychosocial assessments. In addition, addressed any other problems and made the appropriate referrals to outside local organizations. Patients also screened for High Risk status; and following state protocols, reported cases for any domestic violence or abuse. Also reported cases of STD’s and processed AIDS patients with referrals to specialty physicians. The intent of the CPSP program is to ensure patient compliance with the program to ensure health outcomes/deliveries. Created a Teenagers Pregnancy Program whereby separate classes were held for pregnant teenagers; and also assisted patients during their delivery.
