I am currently looking for a full time Systems Administration or higher level help desk position. I am a Skilled IT professional by trade and have been had a continuous 27 years in the field. I have previously been help desk support, technical instructor, Microsoft Trainer at a technical college, Systems Admin for GSI Commerce Inc. (now Ebay Enterprise / Radial) and most currently for AOK Networking in Oviedo, FL as a Systems/Network Administrator in a managed service provider environment cover local clients in Central FL.

I am currently working on a POS / PED replacement project for PAR Technologies.

Summary of Qualifications:

I currently have 27 years IT/IS experience from smaller companies to large Corporations. Firm knowledge in large scale Corporate IT infrastructures, server and data center hardware and software, data backups/recovery and disaster recovery..

●Expert Level helpdesk support, virus and malware removal, home networking, computer and application training, hardware support and repair, HDTV support and repair, video conferencing support and repair, migration of applications and data between operating systems, migration of applications and data to cloud based services.

●I have worked with Microsoft operating systems from Windows NT through Windows 10 including Windows Server NT/2000-Azure, Exchange, SQL, Terminal Servers, etc. I use quite a few versions of Linux and Linux VM’s for various project related task like testing, static web servers and low cost substitutes for more expensive hardware and software.

●I have worked with many networking issues for the current company I am with, mainly Dell Sonicwall and Ruckus firewall and wireless solutions, 10/100/1000 Dell and HP switches, rack-mount servers, UPS’s, ISP equipment from various vendors and many single purpose servers such as NICE, Bomgar, GE PACS, Medware, Aria, Filemaker, etc.

●Helpdesk level knowledge of Apple OSX through the most current version, Apple Ipad and iPhone and synchronization between devices with iCloud and iTunes. Some experience with Apple hardware and networking devices such as iMac, AirPort, MacBooks and even original iPods, Google Chrome OS, Andorid tablet and phone variations (2.x-6.x) and support of synchronization of these devices to Windows and Apple operating systems and alternate devices.

At home I run a test environment of MS Server 2016 along with various Linux distros, but mainly use Kali and RHEL7. In a virtual environment I work mainly with VMWare and Virtualbox or have used Hyper-V in the past with GSI Commerce.

SmartSource/Par Technologies - ( POS Technician 4/2017 - present ) -

●Installation, upgrades and repair of McDonald’s POS and PED systems at various locations in Central Florida

●Firmware upgrades / Software upgrades to PAR Technologies touch screen terminals, Verifone PEDs and self-service touchscreen kiosks

●Cleanup and recycle of old equipment for destruction per PCI

●Currently overnight work paid out @ $28.50 per hour.

XMS Digital Publishing - ( Contract Server Manager / SysAdmin 2/2017 - present)

●Installation and maintaining both physical and virtual servers XMS has set up for various website and small ecommerce solutions.

●Helping XMS customers with various hardware and software issues mostly in small office settings, terminal server and Office 365.
