Employment Description and Responsibilities
Have a history of working with composite fabrication and composites in shipyards; all branches of the military (DOD): private industry, rain and wind screen fabricators for aesthetic architectural projects; etc. All of the materials are non-toxic e.g., non-bromiated, and are based upon my knowledge of composite chemistry which without fire retardancy burn vigorously creating thick, black acrid smoke. The powder formulae developed is a specific type of intumescent chemistry that is singularly unique.
- Identify novel non-toxic fire retardant solutions for the building construction and transportation markets that utilize numerous composite materials and components.
- Interact with material processing engineers; chemists; technical directors; etc. to discuss and
explain the chemical behavior and the use of our intumescent compositions and products.
- Oversee live fire and smoke testing.
- Write everything that’s technically oriented at Avtec from MSDS’s, Technical Data Sheet (TDS), Certificates of Compliance; Cost Analysis’; etc.
- Represented Avtec working with companies such as General Dynamics, Martin Marietta Composites; General Atomics, and numerous others.
- Interact with the five approved manufacturers of our products in Hudson, MA, Springfield, MA, Norfolk, MA, Fall River, MA and Greensboro, SC to ensure the products were within specification, packaged correctly and transported properly.
